Find Your Line Counseling

Insurance, Fees, and Payments:

Fees for Services: 

Psychotherapy 30 minutes (16-37 minutes) - $130 

Psychotherapy, 45 minutes (38-52 minutes) - $200

Psychotherapy, 60 minutes (53+ minutes) - $260 

Initial Assessment / Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation (90 minutes) - $300 

No-show fee $50: A no-show fee may be charged for appointments cancelled with less than 24-hours notice. This is not reimbursable by insurance. 


Insurance: 

I am in-network with many, but not all, Aetna and Blue Cross plans. Because networks and benefits vary widely, clients are responsible for verifying their coverage directly with their insurance provider.


Important: If your insurance card lists “Aetna,” this does not automatically mean I am in-network with your specific plan. Aetna has many network types (such as Aetna Choice® POS II), and my services may be processed using out-of-network benefits. In some Alaska plans, out-of-network services may still apply toward your in-network deductible.


To avoid unexpected costs, please contact your insurance company to confirm your benefits before beginning services.


In-Network Plans

If I am in-network with your insurance plan, your copay or coinsurance is due at the time of service and will be charged to the payment method on file.

The amount you owe depends on your individual insurance plan. Any deductible or additional coinsurance will be determined based on the contracted rate with your insurance provider and billed once the claim has been processed.


Out-of-Network Benefits

If I am not in-network with your plan, you may still choose to use out-of-network (OON) benefits, depending on your insurance coverage. For plans operating under the Aetna umbrella, I am often able to bill the insurance directly even when I am out-of-network. The remaining allowed amount (including deductible or coinsurance) becomes the client’s responsibility once the claim has been processed.


If I am unable to bill your insurance directly, I can provide a superbill—an itemized receipt that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement according to your out-of-network benefits.


Self-Pay

For self-pay services, the full session fee is due at the time of service and will be charged to the payment method on file.


Payment Methods: 

For all clients, online payment options include all major credit cards, debit, HSA/FSA. 

For in-person sessions I also accept cash and check.

Call or text (907) 921-1186 to schedule a free 15 minute phone consultation.


This is NOT a crisis number. Calls are returned during business hours (Monday - Wednesday).


We’ll use this phone consultation time to discuss your counseling needs and desires to see if they align with my offerings. If I’m not the best fit, I’ll gladly recommend other providers.


If we proceed, we’ll schedule a 90-minute initial assessment. You’ll receive an email with a link to set up your secure client portal. In this portal, I’ll ask you to complete the intake documents, including insurance and payment information, prior to your assessment. 


I run a paperless office. As a client you will have access to your own HIPAA compliant secure client portal where all paperwork, video communication and billing processes take place. This portal can be accessed on a computer, iPad or smartphone. 


Contacting the practice by phone, email, or through this website—including requests for consultation or scheduling—does not establish a therapeutic relationship. A therapeutic relationship is established only after an initial appointment has occurred and informed consent for services has been completed.

Services Length & Frequency:

The frequency and duration of counseling sessions are entirely determined by your needs, goals, and interest in engaging. This can range from one to three sessions to address a recent event or acute concern, to weekly or every other week for one to several months. I am flexible and will meet you where you are in terms of scheduling. I will also communicate any availability restrictions, such as vacations, as soon as possible.
